Bohinj is an idyllic alpine valley surrounded by an amphitheatre of mountains reflected in the crystal-clear lake which is often frozen in winter.

Winter sports center Bohinj offers diverse possibilities of spending your winter holidays.

In the area there are several bigger and smaller ski centres: Vogel, Kobla, Soriška planina and the mountainous area of Komna is like paradise for ski-touring fans.

Apartments Mavrica (560 m) are situated on the sunny verge of the picturesque village of Stara Fužina by Lake Bohinj in Triglav National Park. (slika s Studora in na ledu) From the balconies you can admire the enchanting view to the Vogel with southern mountains of Bohinj or to Triglav with its surrounding mountains. Vogel Ski Centre (1537 – 1800 m) is located 5 km from the apartments, Kobla (540 – 1480 m) 7 km and Soriška Planina 20 km.

The vicinity of the ski centres is important for our guests and that is why Stara Fužina is the best holiday place. Skiers do not have to worry about transport, since the transfer to the ski centres (Vogel, Kobla, Soriška Planina) and also to Aqua Park Bohinjis organised. 

Apartments Mavrica are located at the starting point of 5-km sledging slope from Vogar, where you can enjoy the organised night-sledging with torches.
Ice-skaters can skate in the skating rink by the lake, but when the lake freezes they can enjoy this 4.5 km long and 1.5 km wide skating paradise in nature, which is also perfect for cross-country skiers.There are several cross-country trails in the area – between the apartments and the lake and along the upper and lower valleys of Bohinj.
In the area it is also possible to do ice-climbing, snowshoeing across the snowy landscape or simply walking in the beautiful winter fairy tale.

Peaceful location of the apartments, away from busy roads, is ideal for families with children who can carelessly enjoy the snow fun around the house.

The alpine ski centre Vogel (1537 – 1800 m) is located in the southern mountains of Bohinj where the warm Mediterranean climate meets the Alpine thus bringing even more than 5 m of snow in winter.
Skiing on natural snow in the beautiful sunny surroundings with the view to Triglav and the Julian Alps is pure delight. fotka Ski centre Vogel is suitable for families as well as for experienced skiers. It has 36 km of slopes among which the longest is 7 km long slope Žagarjev graben. You can ski from Šija (1800 m) right down to the Bohinj lake (523 m) in half an hour. Vogel is a renowned alpine ski centre, where the snowy idyll enhances your pleasure in skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing or merely in taking the panoramic ride with the cable car enjoying the view over Lake Bohinj, Stara Fužina and the rest of the Bohinj valley and Julian Alps.
If you would like to take part in the skiing fun, but you do not ski well and would like to learn this fun sport, we will take care of you. We prepared a special offer in cooperation with the ski school – the ski teacher will pick you up at the apartment – even more you will be able to leave your equipment at Vogel, where Ski School Vogel has its rooms.

Kobla Ski Centre (550 m - 1500m) is somewhat lower ski centre over Bohinjska Bistrica and has 20 km of ski slopes, 3 chair-lifts and 3 ski-lifts for a large range of skiers. Kobla is equipped with snow cannons which guarantees snow even in warmer days. There is also a categorised FIS ski slope.

You can enjoy your afternoon and evening hours in Aqua Park Bohinj. The Aqua Park has one big pool and a pool for children, two Jacuzzi pools and several attractions such as toboggan slides, wild river, massage nozzles, caves, climbing walls, island, outdoor terrace for sunbathing, etc. Several animation and sports programmes are organised to entertain the guests and when you feel hungry there will certainly be no problem – gourmet dishes are served right by the pool.
